NORTHERN SAFARI TRIP
Leaving camp through Bulwer, originally a pilot station for ships we travel across the Northern part of the Island in our 4x4 through bush tracks to explore all the sites the Northern part of the island has to offer. First stop by the rocky headland of North Point with its pristine surf and crystal clear rock pools. The Champagne Pools is one such rock pool with the occasional wave cascading over the top of the rocks making a spa bath effect with the foaming waters. Around the corner is the picture perfect scene of Honeymoon Bay. Next up the cape to enjoy the magnificent views from the Cape Moreton Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Queensland where you may catch a glimpse of some Dolphins, Manta Rays, Turtles, Sea Birds and from June to October the Humpback Whale Migration. There is also a visitor centre with lots of facts and historical information about the island. Travel down the white sandy beach of the surfside and take a splash in the Tea Tree Oil infused waters of Blue Lagoon leaving you feeling rejuvenated. Then 4wd through the sandy tracks of Gheebulum Kunungai (Moreton Island) National Park back to camp.
